Pupils sing out over threat to climate
MORE than 1,000 schoolchildren will sing their hearts out about global warming this week.
And yesterday, 300 pupils from years one and two from eight primary schools in North East Lincolnshire were first to take centre stage at Grimsby Central Hall for the start of the four-day Infant School Singing Festival.
-

Hundreds of primary school pupils came together to kick off the Infant School Singing Festival in Grimsby.
They were Old Clee Primary School, Macaulay Primary School, St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Woodlands Primary School, Canon Peter Hall Primary School, Middlethorpe Primary School, St Joseph's Primary School and Enfield Primary School.

Hundreds of primary school pupils came together to kick off the Infant School Singing Festival in Grimsby.

Alison Pryce-Jones directed their performance.
She said: "Grimsby is always a pleasure to teach music. I always look forward to coming here – the pupils are so well prepared by their teachers."
The schoolchildren performed Eddie The Penguin Saves The World, an eight-song musical written by Niki Davies.
St Joseph's music teacher Emily Warville said: "They enjoy it and have coped really well.
"If you do things through music it gives pupils a much better understanding of topics."
The festival is organised by North East Lincolnshire Council.
Event director Chris Johnson, who also played keyboard, said: "This is the first time most have been on stage. It is one of the most pleasurable things they can do. Music is the universal language."
Other schools taking part in the festival, and appearing in the Grimsby Telegraph this week, are: New Waltham Primary School; South Parade Primary School; Reynolds Primary School; Healing Primary School; Bursar Primary School; Wybers Wood Primary School; Canon Peter Hall Primary School; Stanford Junior and Infant School; Western Primary School; Thrunscoe Primary School; Weelsby Primary School; Grange Primary School; Willows Primary School; Lisle Marsden Primary School; Fairfield Primary School; Signhills Infant School; Eastfield Primary School; St Martin's Preparatory School; and Waltham Leas Primary School

“Neil of Cleethorpes : You seem to have a knack of getting things wrong. Vancouver being on the West Coast is Canada's warmest winter city. Up in whistler in the mountains there was lots of snow. That is were most of the snow events took place. Lower down they were prepared to move snow in which they did. Vancouver's climate is almost British. Here on The Prairies we have had a very cold winter. The last several have been very cold.
Kids should go to school to be taught that which will aid them in later life.
They should not be brainwashed with unproven theories.”

“Grimlander.
Your arguments are fatuous.
Few are suggesting that the climate isn't changing. The crux of the argument is whether mankind is responsible for it, and while there are many who maintain mankind is guilty, there are thousands of dissenting scientists who always have and still DO maintain that he is not.
Research disproving man-made global warming HAS been done - but because it contradicts the 'official' propaganda put out by the greedy, self-interested global elite who stand to benefit financially from a 'carbon credit' industry projected to run into the trillions by 2020 - findings are suppressed and 'off-message' projects, starved of funding for further research.
On the other hand, projects supporting the theory are showered with billions of pounds of taxpayers money . One prime example is the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council, funded by government (i.e. taxpayers) to the tune of a whacking £850 million a year, and which has recently doled out a staggering £63,245,372 of *our* money on projects which ONLY promote the AGW theory.
It's patently clear that whole 'climate change' issue is 100% skewed in favour of only those who are prepared to tow the official line, and until a more balanced approach is adopted which gives BOTH sides equal means and resources to do the science properly, the debate cannot even begin, let alone be won.
Most definitely, such a controversial, unproven theory as AGW should NOT be taught in schools. It is blatant brainwashing and wholly contemptible where children are concerned.”

“Grimlander You has asked a question so I will answer it!
2 How can you mention a politician and honesty in the same sentence?
I said ¿Nigel Lawson it¿s good to have these types of honest people that can cut through the cover up of suppressed data¿ (adding to that) in which he has acted according to his position of a fair hearing.
What are you no about Grimlander? Read more Proper scientists reveal all their data not forced by freedom of information rules to cough up the facts
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1254763/Lord-Lawson-labelled-climate-alarmists.html
3) You say it¿s the weather then? Ok so 80,000-year ice age that has come in cyclical about ever100¿000 - 120¿000 years for the last six ice ages is the weather! stupid, stupid, stupid you don¿t know what you are talking about Do you? get of your Xbox 360 gat a job and see the light
4) I suggest that you produce a bit less carbon dioxide and START to produce numbers that prove your point. I actually have numbers that prove my point and I've seen and touched the reasons for the numbers. There's no point in going into it here because you are a denyer... and you'll deny my evidence before seeing it -- as you have done already
.
What are you no about again Grimlander, what evidence have you provided? And how would you know my answer? Stop being a fool and please let¿s see what you have it may provide an answer. Ha ha ha Joker”

“Nigel --
1. Your first point: I didn't miss it -- I didn't mention it. But since you raise it, I agree with you totally. How much carbon dioxide is needlessly produced by 1,000 children, practicing and ultimately singing propaganda!? There you go -- two sides of the question in a single sentence! I'm mindful of an occasion when some 5,000 women gathered for three hours in the Royal Albert Hall doing 'aerobics for the environment'. I wonder how much unnecessary carbon dioxide and methane was produced/released then!!?
2. How can you mention a politician and honesty in the same sentence?
3. Your "please explain the medieval warm period and the 6 known ice ages?" is the ample proof in the perennial (nay, daily) denyers' ranting. We're talking WEATHER there. You forgot the Thames freezing over and people barbecuing steers for months on the ice!!
4. I suggest that you produce a bit less carbon dioxide and START to produce numbers that prove your point. I actually have numbers that prove my point and I've seen and touched the reasons for the numbers. There's no point in going into it here because you are a denyer... and you'll deny my evidence before seeing it -- as you have done already.
Now I must get on with being granted the will to change what I can -- and the experience to recognize what I can't.
Bye-Bye.”

“Grimlander you are missing the point sing for love sing for peace but please leave our children out of unproved theories so they can grow up as normal children, you say that there is a difference on the weather and climate fascinating to here that! Then please explain the medieval warm period and the 6 known ice ages? As for people like Nigel Lawson it¿s good to have these types of honest people, that can cut through the cover up of suppressed data apart from the global Tax closing down industry and setting it up in third world, does not do any thing apart from destroy British families whole towns die, if you have the proof that man made global warming has taken place then print your Bloody proof rather than just saying its real, I am so sick off people calling sceptics, deniers like the Green fools global warming was based on an unproved theory after the trillions spent even wasted, it¿s still no further a long the road, so why don¿t we have it proven first, are they frightened that they could be wrong? Or that Tax is the real Name of the Game? As thousands leading to millions die through starvation brought on by the global change actions I hope you are all proud to be part of your green revolution that plays its part of mass murder around third world that kills also the rich countries by carbon credits, if man produces 3% of Total co2 and the earth 97% then what do you reduce? also the 85% of volcanoes that¿s not included in any IPCC report also the weather monitors that reads from the cities or the ones excluded But should we be growing bio fuel instead of food? By the year 2050 there will be 37% more mouths to feed, what is your proof on man made warming then?”
