After touring the centre of Grimsby town by horse and carriage and causing a stir with her flamboyant costume, the TV star even stopped off at Grimsby Telegraph offices to see "how clean" they were.

She said: "Oh darling – the desks in Grimsby newsroom are disgusting – but they are not the worst I have seen.

"I would advise antibacterial wipes and microfibre clothes to clean computer screens and key boards – and the Grimsby Telegraph team need to invest in some.

"I have been in other newsrooms in London and their dining room was disgusting!"

Not only has Kim become a star for her cleaning tips, she also won the public's hearts by becoming runner up in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

She explained: "I had five out of 20 bush tucker trials and it was disgusting!

"I ate a kangaroos anus and testicles... they were the worst. It wasn't pleasant at all – it was horrible."

Kim has been in three pantomimes previously and she loves the "tradition" of them.

"Pantomimes are very traditional and I think I will really suit the role of the Wicked Stepmother," she said.

"I have met some of the cast today and they are all smashing! I get on with everyone and I have had a great reception in Grimsby.

"I have been all over Britain with the TV programme, but I have never been to this area before – and everyone is lovely.

"I cannot wait to begin rehearsals in November because it's going to be a ball!"

Kim said that she has been filming for a Channel 4 TV programme which involves stars such as Mary Portas, Gordon Ramsay, Phil Spencer and Gok Wan.

"It has been very exciting, but I can't tell you too much about the programme I have been working on," she added.

"Everyone seems to want me at once, which is fabulous and if you get it, you've got to grab it whilst you can!"

Scott Gray will play Prince Charming.

"I try my best to charm most people and I know it is going to be non-stop fun." he said.

"There aren't many jobs where you can have fun all day and I have really being enjoying Kim's company because she has an outrageous sense of humour. And I love performing near Christmas time because my birthday is on Christmas Eve and I can forget I am turning 30 this year!"

The Pantomime will take place from Friday, December 7 until Wednesday, December 26 at various times.

Tickets are £16 for adults and £12.50 for children and concessions. To book call 0844 871 3016 or visit www.atgtickets.com/grimsbyauditorium.co.uk.

“She should dig a little deeper in the offices of the GT and NELC, then let's see if everything's still clean and shiny. If that's the case, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong.
