"We are delighted Yorkshire and Humber businesses can now benefit from quicker connections to more than 100 cities worldwide.

"With peak flights comes peak demand so we have had to work very hard with British Airways to secure this, however we would not take no for an answer."

Jim Keegan, British Airways regional customer service manager for UK regions and Ireland, said: "This means our Yorkshire customers can enjoy a quick and seamless journey through our dedi- cated terminal at Heathrow."
