“The tpexpress web site says a date in April is most likely when the line will reopen. This is surely optimistic. It is not the first such problem of this nature either. It flags up the need for a better service through Lincoln to join the main East coast line at Newark.”

“Strange how quiet Network Rail have gone, report on their website dated 12/02/13.Surely a bit of news could be given even if its bad news.Last unofficial news I heard this morning was the tip is still moving, true or not I dont know.
Time local mps started asking questions.ieCleethorpes,Grimsby,Brigg & Goole, plus the one for Scunthorpe!”

“Having seen some of the photo,s I have been sent, by Network Rail Staff and others, I would be very surprised if the line is repaired by the end of the year. And I believe the ground is still moving.”

“About time someone was starting to be realistic here. Talk is of weeks when anyone with half an eye can see it will be months WHEN and only WHEN the problem with the landslide is known, recognised and then tackled. From an engineering overview I would say this problem will not be resolved this year and consider it's time the public were properly informed”

“This is hardly news, last week it was predicted to be eight weeks. By that we should still have seven weeks of disruption.”
