Rallying call for area’s mods to attend March
ROCK with the mods!
The area will be inundated by mod culture this month at a huge event in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.
The Linden Homes Club plays host to a mod-inspired night which is one of 17 events across the country to raise money for the cancer charity.
March Of The Mods is the brainchild of Eddie Penny, and he has called on the mod community within North East Lincolnshire to get together in aid of a great cause.

Eddie said: “Music is passion; seeing unknown bands pay out of their own pocked to travel more than 200 miles and then play for free for a cancer charity only fuels that passion for you to join in yourself.
“People inspire you in life to do things you never thought you would. The reward is priceless and the pride in what you achieve is never-ending.”
Three bands are performing at the Grimsby event. They are The Sherlocks, from Rotherham, Mod Revue, from Huddersfield, and The Kingston Ska Orchestra, from Hull.
And DJs John Paul Leasing, Dave Warrender, Gaz Sewell and Chewy will be on the decks.
Grimsby organiser George Holness said: “So many bands wanted to be part of this event because it’s in aid of a good cause. Cancer affects everyone and it is in aid of teenagers, which makes it an even more worthy cause.
“The mod scene goes back to the 1960s and it reflects a range of music from The Kinks to The Jam.
“This event is not just open to the scooter scene or mods – it’s open to everyone who wants to raise money for a good cause.
“We are already organising next year’s event and it is going to be big!”
There will be a fundraising CD available exclusively on the night, called Take A Bow For The New Revolution. It features 22 tracks and costs £5.
March Of The Mods takes place next Thursday, from noon to 1am, and tickets are £5. To book, visit The Linden Homes Club, in Clee Road, Grimsby.
