Ramblers step up festival's success
A WALKING festival has stepped up to be a success.
The organisers of the 8th Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival, which included walks in the Louth and Horncastle area, have hailed the festival a success.
Despite some adverse weather, more than 4,500 walkers attended the festival this year, choosing from 92 walks in the Lincolnshire Wolds and surrounding countryside.
Stuart Parker, chairman of the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival Steering Group said: "We're delighted so many people joined us this year, all of whom, no matter what age, seemed to have really enjoyed taking part."
