Recommendations due for speed limit reductions

COUNCILLORS are due to make their recommendations for reducing speed limits across the borough on Thursday .

North East Lincolnshire Council's speed limit select committee will consider the evidence for and against seven proposed speed limit reductions at a meeting at Grimsby Town Hall. Their findings will go into a report to be considered by the regeneration and environment scrutiny panel.

The proposed speed limit reductions are:

60mph to 50mph on the A18 between Laceby Top and the county boundary at Ludborough.

40mph to 30mph on the B1210 Stallingborough Road, Healing.

40mph to 30mph on Nooking Lane/ Main Road, Aylesby.

60mph to 50mph on the A1136 between Great Coates roundabout and Europarc.

70mph to 50mph on the A180 between Pyewipe and Lockhill roundabouts.

60mph to 40mph on the B1210 between Healing and Great Coates.

30mph to 20mph on several roads in the East Marsh and Sidney Sussex wards.
