Region to be represented at Mumbai conference
TWO Humber business experts are to represent the region at a global economic forum in Mumbai.
For Rob Penrose and Peter Brown, the General Assembly of the World Trade Centres Association, will be an opportunity to promote the region's growing credentials as a hub for international trade.
During four days in India, the two World Trade Centre Hull and Humber directors will have the chance to forge links with WTCA members from almost 100 countries.
Mr Penrose, managing partner of pan-Humber Andrew Jackson solicitors, is returning to India after being part of a World Trade Centre Hull & Humber mission to Tamil Nadu in the south of the country five years ago.

He said: "With a massive population and consistent economic growth, the demand from India's markets is only going to increase," he said. "The UK's relationship with India is different to how it used to be, but we are in a good position to do business there just as they are over here with businesses such as Tata Steel."
The Mumbai event, from April 21 to 24, will be the 44th annual assembly, and follows Prime Minister David Cameron's visit last week.
Growth predictions for India this coming year remain at more than six per cent.
