Residents' delight as plans are refused
RESIDENTS in Waltham were victorious in a battle to stop plans to build three houses at the rear of Brigsley Road.
Similar schemes for the area have been refused in the past after residents raised concerns over parking and drainage.

Yesterday, North East Lincolnshire Council's Planning Committee refused a new proposal.
It was split into two applications; one for erection of a house at the rear of an existing property in Brigsley Road, and the other for the erection of two houses behind the same address.
Eight out of ten councillors on the committee were against the plans, despite advice from organisations including the Highway Authority, who said the applicant, John Cordock, had overcome problems previously raised.
Issues included the width of the private access road to allow cars to pass by each other comfortably.
However, after residents and Waltham Parish Council voiced their concerns, the majority of the committee decided to refuse the plans.
