Resort in line to host In Bloom awards
CLEETHORPES could be in the running to be the host town of the Britain In Bloom the awards 2010 – but only if major sponsorship is secured.
The Cleethorpes In Bloom committee has decided to push on with plans to host the prestigious ceremony.

As reported, it is estimated that it would cost around £20,000 to host the awards, which are scheduled to take place on September 28 next year.
Accommodation for about 500 delegates would be needed, as would a venue for the ceremony.
It means the Cleethorpes In Bloom team will have to work hard to attract the necessary sponsorship.
Chairman Bob Callison believes it would be beneficial for a sponsor to get involved.
He said: “We are well on with looking into things and we are looking at attracting sponsorship.
“It would be a real feather in our cap so we are putting together a plan to try and make it happen.
“It would have to be a major sponsorship deal but believe me it would be worth it.
“It will be advertised all over Britain and the amount of press that get involved will be unbelievable.”
Anyone wishing to sponsor the team can do so by contacting Lee Beckett on (01472) 325854 or emailing lee.beckett@nelincs.gov.uk.
