THE countdown has begun to the first ever Cleethorpes Rocks festival.

Tomorrow, Liverpool indie rockers The Zutons, Scottish duo The Proclaimers and Hull's New Beautiful South will take to the stage at Meridian Park in the resort.

Organiser Stephen Stanley, from Solid Entertainments, is looking forward to a "terrific" gig at the 5,000 capacity venue.

"It's a great line-up and it should be a fantastic festival atmosphere," he said.

"The forecast is good and we've had a huge amount of interest from local people."

Cleethorpes Rocks begins at 2pm tomorrow – see your Grimsby Telegraph on Monday for coverage. Tickets are available from Solid Entertainments, in Wellowgate, Grimsby, on (01472) 349222.
