PERFECT new premises for a Cleethorpes gift emporium now have a perfect new name – thanks to a Grimsby Telegraph reader.

As reported, JK’s Gift Shop in Sea View Street is branching out after 10 successful years, with the opening of additional premises at the top of the street.

Owner Davinia Lacey, of Cleethorpes, promised to give away a pair of MBT shoes – worth around £150 – to a Grimsby Telegraph reader if they could come up with a name for the new premises.

More than 50 people entered the competition and the winning entry, as judged by JK’s staff, was from Humberston resident Deanna Breckon. She suggested Kiki’s Perfect Point.

She said: “Because the building is called The Point, I came up with Perfect Point and then when I spoke with Davinia I learned that her daughter’s nickname is Kiki so I added that into it.

“It feels absolutely brilliant to have won a competition – I just hope that it is going to be perfect for them.

“I must have a gift for it because I renamed the local lioness’ club the Grimsby and Cleethorpes Ladybirds Club.”

Davinia added: “We think the name is absolutely fantastic.

“It is the perfect name for the perfect shop.”

Kiki’s Perfect Point is due to open by Easter.
