Resurgent Sophie Walker is hoping for birdies in Turkish Open
SOPHIE Walker is pleased with her all-round game ahead of her return to Ladies European Tour action at the Turkish Open tomorrow.
The Humberston professional has had a seven-week break from the Tour since her 46th-place finish at the Australian Open in mid-March, but jets off to Turkey to resume her 2010 campaign at the National Golf Club in Antalya.

And the 25-year-old, who currently sits in 65th position in the Order of Merit after her first three tournaments of the year, has kept extremely busy back in North East Lincolnshire by entering local competitions.
Explaining which areas of her game she has been concentrating on, she said: "Everything really. There have been many hours spent wearing out the putting green at Cleethorpes Golf Club, and I have been working on my ball flight with all my clubs.
"I like to prepare for events by playing in pro-ams as you are marking a card and playing for money. It also helps me to get into tournament mode."
In one such pro-am – at Immingham Golf Club last week – Walker showed that her game is in good shape by setting a new women's course record. The first female pro to tackle the course, she set a benchmark two-under-par target of 72 off the yellow tees.
"I enjoyed Immingham," she confirmed. "I haven't played there for a number of years and was very impressed with the course – Steve Beverley (the head green-keeper) and his staff have done a great job there in recent years.
"It is important for clubs to have pro-ams and I am always happy to support local clubs whenever I am back."
