Rob Scott wants to see how players are with more of the ball at Barton Town
TOMORROW's clash against Barton Town Old Boys will give the Grimsby Town bosses an opportunity to see how threatening their side are with the ball.
That's the view of joint-manager Rob Scott, who confirmed that the Mariners will take a senior squad to the Euronics Ground for the friendly.

That's despite their progression to the final of the Lincolnshire Senior Cup adding another fixture to their pre-season schedule.
In their last three games – against Football League sides Doncaster, Hull and Scunthorpe – the bosses have seen how their side matches up against teams that are expected to dominate possession and chances.

But against Barton – like in previous fixtures against Grimsby Borough and Gainsborough Trinity – Town will be expected to have more of the ball and boast the lion's share of goalscoring chances.
Scott said: "Barton will definitely be a first-team fixture.
"Without being disrespectful to Barton, we want to have games like these to see how we are when we've got more of the football.
"If they set up well defensively, we will have to be cute and clever enough to break them down.
"So it will be interesting to see.
"At the moment, we are asking the players questions and they are coming back with the answers and taking steps forward all the time."
