“A big well done to all at the club in the signing of Ross Hannah,it shows we have ambition especially with the loans also of devitt and brodie in the last week.
Pondy would really be the icing on the cake!!! as like Ross he is a class act and would be worth a similar contract if we could lure him.
Its exciting times ahead and the goals should start to flow again!!!
I really do believe we can win this league, and we need all the fans to unite behind the club and the team for a BIG final push.”

“Out of the 3 loan players Hannah, Pond and Neilson i personally think Neilson was the worst one and that's not sour grapes cos of what has been said by him. When I watched him I thought he drifted to far out of the game at times possibly with the exception of the Gatehead game, and remember him getting sent off through a lack of discipline and the taxi driver incident when he was at Crawley. So well done to the management team for the last week of transfer deals and I believe Devitt will be a better addition than Neilson would have been UTM”

“PontoonPete, do you go to games and sit saying "we won't win this" before kick off? Or how about "what a waste of time it is coming here" on your way to the ground? Because I sure as hell can't imagine any positive words emitting from that mouth of yours. Try a bit of optimism, it'll do you the world of good”

“Pontoon Pete, I'm not the one that keeps banging on with the same old tune, I say it once and leave it for the masses to make their own minds up and have their say, The desperation you display several times a week in trying to convince all of the loyal hardcore town fans whose team are within a game in hand of the top of the league that we have no chance at all is laughable.
I said on the previous post that this league is notoriously difficult to win, that is for sure but to say we have no chance just proves that you my foe have no affiliation with The Mighty Grimsby Town, more likely green with envy and looking on from scumthorpe or the like, I mean really if you have no faith and truly don't like this club why would you waste your time, a grown man you say, those are the actions of a child!

To be top of the league at the halfway point and then to add Hannah, Devitt and Brodie, with the exception of losing Pond (for now) I'm quite sure that none of our rivals have strengthened as well as we have, Lutons capture of Neilson and them being linked with half of our squad shows that they are always a step behind us, Neilson will be a good addition for them but so long as our team stays focused and grounded to the fact that there is still a big job to do then i'm sure that we have a squad capable of winning this league, Wrexham and Luton are our main contenders, Kidderminster are up their also due to their strong form with Newport and Forest Green outsiders for me, I'll be honest I thought Wrexham were nailed on but then S&H brought some real quality in and now i'm convinced that we are the team to beat, if we're brave enough to go out and attack then we have the squad to out score anyone in this league whilst in Shaun Pearson and Dusty we still have a formidable defence with Aswad, Hatton or Brad out wide.
I'd like us to get Pondy back for sure, all of our other targets have been met, on other forums many said we had no chance of getting Devitt back but he is here along with proven top goal getters in Hannah and Brodie, if we sign a defender and possibly another option to Niven or Thanoj in central mid then our squad is as good as I could have ever imagined for the level we are at, now it's down to the managers to keep them motivated and mostly for the players to make sure that it happens!

    UTM”

“Well done gtfc, good signing for this league.as for negative pontoon Pete,to say we have no chance is a bit unfair.we have a good chance, but I think it will be playoffs, last 2 games have been poor, missed opportunities!,to gain points.as for granty about Nielson its a stupid comment from him,(Nielson),they aren't on prem wages so if gtfc offered more money but he's going to be closer to home he's always going to pick Luton, were not talking £1000s more like,£10s,it would have to be a very good offer from town,to make him pick”
