A LARGE contingent of Grimsby-area runners travelled to Nottinghamshire on Sunday for the annual Worksop Half Marathon.

In cool and blustery conditions, Louth AC's Paul Jackson was the first local athlete home in a time of one hour, 17 minutes, 35 seconds.

Skegness Coasters runner Ben Evison – who has won a handful of races on the Grimsby-area scene this year, managed 1.20.28.

Andy Pegg led home a steady procession of Wolds Veteran Runners Club and Cleethorpes Athletic Club members.
