Grimsby Town young guns are in safe hands with Adam Smith - Scott
ROB Scott believes Grimsby Town's young guns are in safe hands with Adam Smith at the helm.
Following the departure of previous Youth team boss Robbie Stockdale, to Sunderland, Smith, pictured below, has taken temporary charge of the side.

And Scott says he is the ideal man for the role.
He said: "Adam is excellent at his job. He has come into the Youth team and has got ideas which are very similar to ours – his standards are exactly where we would like them to be for the Youth team.

"Adam has take over that role because continuity is important, but also because of his high standards."
Smith and goalkeeping coach Steve Croudson will also work with the Mariners' re-formed Reserve side.
"After a bit of upheaval at the club, with Robbie leaving, we've had to re-jig everything," added Scott.
"We're pleased with how that has been done. Paul and I are very happy with Steve and Adam overseeing the Reserves. We will pick the team and discuss tactics and what we want out of it, and they will take the side on a match-day."
The young Mariners battled to a 2-2 draw with Hull City at the weekend, with Will Peers and Jack Griffin on target.
Town's Youth team are in action tomorrow night when they host Yorkshire Amateur in the FA Youth Cup (7.30pm).
