Dave, of Grimsby, said: “It’s great to have a band like The View here in Cleethorpes.

“I hadn’t heard any of the songs from their fourth album before tonight but I thought they were brilliant.”

Nick, who is a member of Grimsby indie band Seaside, said: “They put on a great show and there was a great atmosphere.

“Going to a gig in a theme park was really different and we need more bands like that performing in this area.”

The band was supported by a number of local acts, including The Jebs and Morris.

Also enjoying the evening’s entertainment were brothers Alfie, 20, and Charles Warwick, 21, of Grimsby.

Alfie said: “It was definitely the best gig I’ve seen in Cleethorpes. I really liked their first album and I enjoyed hearing their new stuff, too.”

Charles added: “The atmosphere was great and it was an intimate venue so everybody had a really good view.”

The View were invited to an after-show party Waves Bar, in the Pier, by local music promoter, DJ Wes.

He said: “We need more big acts like this coming to the area, it’s great to have them here.”
