Sex offender Karl Babiczuk-Brown jailed for six-and-a-half years
A DISGRACED teacher was today beginning a six-and-a-half-year jail term for being a "serial seducer of young girls".
Former Havelock Academy drama teacher, Karl Babiczuk-Brown was described as a "dangerous man to young girls" who abused the trust pupils had in him.

At Grimsby Crown the 29-year-old, married father of one, of Newbridge Hill, Louth, was sentenced for 17 offences of grooming and sexual activity with three girls.
A number of his victims wept in court as Recorder Euan Duff described the "massive harm" his sexual behaviour had on "developing young girls."
The court heard the sexual activity with girls – including one aged 14 years – was over a period of four years from 2005 and had been "consensual."
Recorder Duff said: "The reason why there was consent was because they had been groomed."

Karl Babiczuk-Brown who has been jailed for six-and-a-half years
He said they were developing girls who developed "a crush" on an older man, who appeared "attractive and personable" and that any other person would have acted responsibly and properly towards them.
He added: "You did the reverse. You fostered their affection and you groomed them for your own sexual gratification."
Southbase singer Babiczuk-Brown was placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for an indefinite period. He will also be the subject of a sex offender prevention order for 10 years.

“This is a situation that has been blown out of proportion and i feel very sorry for everyone involved. Yes it was a postition of trust, but these girls weren't stupid and knew what they were doing. The ones, in my eyes, who have schemed and 'groomed' are the girls to Karl. They too should hang their heads in shame, flaunting themselves at their age, they should of been brought up better to have some more self worth. Im not saying he wasnt guilty, just that he ends up on the wrong side of the law when it comes to situations like this. They weren't 9/10, where they become intimidated, they knew what they were doing, and became candy to a child. I can imagine the type of girls they will grow up to be.
It is also ashame for Karls family now ruined for life and will always worry about other peoples views (just read this thread and imagine being his family, some of the comments are vile and just plain out of order) and his child will grow up into an unfair world!”

“Plutonium, I apologise to you.
My views on the death penalty may go a bit to far.
I originally was against any form of capital punishment, until I started reading what some of these defendants had done to their victims.
Years down the line after reading books about Hangmen like Pierrepoint/Dernley etc, it has become fascinating.
When I read about Ian Huntley/ Moors Murders/ shipman/ I can't say I would have any mercy on them, I would quite happily send them to the gallows.
I believe in State executions on murderers like the above, I don't like people who think they can hurt or torture and kill another human being, and, like Huntley, get a comfortable cell, then complain when he is mistreated, he killed two little girls, what does the sick perv expect?
I have not been a witness to an execution, the trouble with people is they seem to get all irate about a driver slightly over the drink drive limit , or slightly speeding etc,and want them put in prison for life, for making a stupid decision but a paedophile or murderer, when people like me says they should be put to death, then I am accused of being sick.”

“Andy, here....who the hell are you to say they are false allegations, if a judge and jury found him guilty there was clearly enough evidence to do so, the justice system works that someone can only be found guilty if there is enough evidence to prove that within any reasonable doubt that these crimes were committed and i think you'll find that it was an decision they all came to very quickly. therefore any proof he tried to put forward that these things didn¿t happen 'ruining his career by telling everyone he was touching her up' was found by the jury to be a lie. Once again if you weren't there you don't know!”
