Signature 67 making their mark in music competition
A FIVE-PIECE metal band have made it through to the regional final of a music competition which will be aired on Sky TV.
Signature 67, from Grimsby, wowed the judging panel in Sheffield at the Live and Unsigned competition.
They have the chance to showcase their talent at the grand final at The O2 arena.
They are made up of vocalist Andy Welburn, drummer Ben Hill, lead guitar Stu Kinnaird, bass guitar Jon Lince and rhythm guitar Gary Harrison.
The best acts will also get to play at some of the biggest festivals in the UK from over 100 slots including Beach Break Live, Boardmasters, Bearded Theory, Strawberry Fields and Osfest.
As reported, it also offers acts an extra chance for exposure as it's being filmed for Sky TV in an exclusive fly-on-the-wall documentary. Grimsby musician Rob Boswell, 20, is also taking part in the contest.
Ben, the drummer of Signature 67, said: "We strive to be a varied band that play thrash to new metal mixed with rich clean sections and gentle acoustic parts.
"We have a lot of determination, attitude and ambition to hopefully see us through the finals of Live and Unsigned."
