Grimsby's Roller Hockey club crowned National Premier Champions
GRIMSBY can now proudly boast its very own Premier League champions.
The town's Roller Hockey club are celebrating being crowned the 2011/2012 National Premier Champions after a nail-biting finish to the campaign.

Grimsby won their final match of the season to finish level with Middlesbrough, but their better goal average over the course of the season meant that they took the league title ahead of the Teesiders.
But Borough had their revenge in the League Cup final as they beat Grimsby to deny them a league and cup double.

One bright note for Grimsby at the final was 22-year-old Josh Dring being named as the league's Senior Player of the Year.
But their successful season has been tinged with disappointment, as they were ultimately unable to make the step-up to compete on the European stage.
The club's Premier League triumph gave Grimsby the opportunity to enter the Euro League.
However, they couldn't find the £10,000 needed to cover flight and accommodation costs and they have now renewed fundraising efforts for the coming season.
