“They are not likely to dissapear Calypso. That big budjet of theirs will include weather satellites, quite a few are no such thing. Spy is more like it. Like many organisations they have a front, the real work goes on behind the lines.”

“Don't you just love the Met Office, bless 'em?
This is the bunch who said we'd have "'hotter, drier summers for decades to come', and that the 'drought conditions of early spring were likely to last until Christmas and beyond'. As it turned out, we've had the wettest summer, the wettest autumn, and the wettest Christmas .. ever!
And the poor old taxpayer paysz £200 million a year for these dodgy, Mystic Meg prognostications (though the real bill for its incompetence runs into the billions once you've factored in all the 'global warming ' nonsense they're involved and obsessed with).
I wouldn't mind, but it's not even getting any warmer!”

“It will be wet, slippery in the morning and cold. No chance of the kids making snowmen. An extra quilt on the bed and all will be fine.”
