Steve's tough challenge through Egyptian desert
A BUSINESSMAN overcame what he described as "one of the biggest challenges of his life" by cycling across the Egyptian desert and helping to raise about £50,000 for charity.
Steve Wilson, 38, the managing director of Wil-lec Electrical Contractors, braved the rough terrain and blistering heat of the unforgiving Sinai desert to raise money for British Heart Foundation, CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), Echo UK and Heart UK.

He was among a group of 34 fundraising riders taking part in the five-day event, which saw him spend spending between eight and 10 hours on his bike each day in order to complete the 300-mile challenge.
Steve said: "It was an absolutely fantastic experience and one of the best things I've ever done – I have to admit it was exhausting and I don't think my six-month training schedule quite prepared me for it but I enjoyed it nonetheless."
