The fundraising was launched with GTFC player Liam Hearn at MKM Building Supplies, in Grimsby, where a coffee morning will take place in-store on Friday, September 28, as thousands of people across the world will be raising proceeds at the same time with a hot drink.
Meanwhile, the efforts have already begun, with name cards at MKM and a Guess How Many Screws competition.

Hearn, who is currently recovering from a ruptured Achilles, said: "I believe in supporting this well-worthy cause, because so many people have been affected by cancer some way or another.
"I lost my grandma to this disease, and this is why I am so passionate about supporting Macmillan.
"I wish MKM all the best of luck with their coffee morning and hope everyone will support them to raise as much money as possible."
MKM contracts manager Jeff Brand, said: "We have got a fantastic raffle happening on the day, with a GTFC-signed shirt and football, alcohol, chocolates and a variety of vouchers.
"There will be a variety of cakes on sale such as lemon, chocolate and fruit cakes."
"Macmillan is our chosen company charity and last year we raised £500 for it.
"This time round we want to raise far more compared to previous years when we raised more than £1,000.
Crystal Ness, Macmillan fundraising manager, said: "The World's Biggest Coffee morning has been going on for about 20 years and it is our flagship event.
"Across the world, people in their homes, business or wherever they may be, will be raising money by partaking in coffee and cakes.
"It is good fun and gets people socialising, as well as raising much-needed money for the cancer charity, which relies on 97 percent voluntary donations.
"One million people in the UK had cancer last year and by 2030 it is estimated to rise to four million.
"I hope MKM's coffee morning is a huge success and that people get behind it and raise as much money as possible – as well as having a good time."
The coffee morning will be running from 7.30am until 5.30pm. For more information ring the store on Eleanor Street on 01472 242111.
