Street photographer Tom Loughran focuses on real life in Grimsby
THIS young photographer is trawling the streets of Grimsby taking snapshots into the lives of real people.
Tom Loughran, 20, studied photography at Grimsby Institute and has been trying to find interesting shots for the past two years that will capture the interest of potential employers.
However, Tom, of Neville Street, Cleethorpes, doesn't look for them in the beautiful landscapes of the Lincolnshire Wolds or on the beach – he likes to snap the real people on the East Marsh estate.
He said: "I want to catch the expressions on people's faces that tell a story – those defining moments where a picture speaks a thousand words.

"I love the fact that you can wander around with a camera and take a glimpse into people's lives and, more often than not, they don't even know that you're there."
The photographer's favourite photos are of people working on Grimsby Docks and of a man he saw sitting outside his house one day.
"I like those photos because they were just nice moments – the expressions on their faces were a little bit different and made me wonder what they were thinking," he said.
