Youngsters backing Strictly Come Dancing partner of village dance star
BALLROOM is back on our screens this weekend – and local youngsters will be backing one star all the way.
Karen Hauer is the girlfriend of Waltham dancing star Kevin Clifton, so she is guaranteed to get votes from here in North East Lincolnshire when she appears on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The 30-year-old Venezuelan mambo star is leading Westlife singer Nicky Byrne through his paces in the popular BBC dance show.
And Kevin, the son of British ballroom dancing champions Keith and Judy Clifton, is an assistant choreographer in the show.

Viewers will get the chance to vote for Karen and she is guaranteed huge scores on the doors thanks to pupils of Keith and Judy.
The Clifton Dance Academy has run several dance classes in North East Lincolnshire for many years – and members have all been urged to vote for Karen.
Keith said: "She is our son's girlfriend and both are working on Strictly.
"They performed on the theatre show Burn The Floor together, which will be coming back to the West End in March.
"Karen is a terrific dancer and she has a lovely personality. She is very talkative and a great communicator. Everyone is her friend.
"She is hoping everyone in Grimsby and Cleethorpes will vote for her and we are trying to get all the children from our classes to vote for her and Nicky.
"We might be able to get her to come up and see us, and sample some of our finest fish and chips!"
Dance class parent Rachael Howe, 37 of Lestrange Street, Cleethorpes, said: "Karen is amazing. With Keith and Judy supporting the pair, they can only be winners."
Rebecca Treacher, 29, of David Street, Grimsby, is the mother of young dance students Skye Cook, 11, and Honey Allen, three.
She said: "Karen is fantastic. She is a super role model for my children. She is an inspiration. I am very proud to be supporting her all the way."
