Stuart Carrington through to last 32 of English Amateur Snooker Championships
GRIMSBY cueman Stuart Carrington is through to the last 32 of the English Amateur Snooker Championships.
The 22-year-old former professional won his opening two matches in style, racking up 4-0 and 4-1 triumphs at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds. The competition resumes in April. He has made the semi-finals on two previous occasions.
The Grimsby potter is hoping to re-qualify for the Main Tour this season. Last month, he reached the third-round proper of the Betfair European Tour Event Five, bowing out at the hands of Kurt Maflin, who made a 147 break in the match.
