This new tale begins when Floyd gets his kite stuck in a tree.

He throws up his shoe to shift it, but that gets stuck, so he throws up his other shoe and that gets stuck, too – quickly followed by the cat, a ladder, a pot of paint, the kitchen sink, an orangutan and a whale, among other things!

Will Floyd ever get his kite back?

The show is being promoted by Grimsby-based children's events enterprise Birdhouse and also features original music and plenty of audience participation.

A spokesman for Birdhouse said: "We're delighted to confirm we have recently received funding from Arts Council England to host six shows this year, which will include the Birdhouse Children's Theatre Festival in June.

"We're really pleased that Stuck will be the first show of the season.

"Big Wooden Horse is an excellent company who went down really well with our audiences last year.

"Funding means we can keep the prices down, making it an affordable but high quality family outing."

See for yourself

There will be two shows at 11am and 2pm and the show is suitable for ages three and above.

Tickets for Stuck cost £5 for children and £4 for adults, available from Caxton Box Office at Grimsby Library on 01472 346251 or online at www.birdhousetheatre.co.uk
