Success for seafood education scheme
AN APPEAL from Seafish for businesses involved in Grimsby's critical seafood processing cluster to get involved with a new education programme has succeeded.
A pre-Christmas call for support of the initiative, due to be rolled out to infants in the 2013 summer term, brought several responses, following the Telegraph article.
The importance of seafood is to be stressed with a fun and interactive campaign allowing them to discover more about the town's vital protein, with an eye on customers of the future.
Joanna Dunlop, promotions and marketing manager at Seafish, said schools will now be matched up with the volunteer companies as part of the pilot project.
