Summer camp has been declared a huge hit by hundreds of children who attended
A SUMMER camp that provided scores of activities for North East Lincolnshire children has been praised.
More than 300 8 to 16-year-olds from several Grimsby estates have spent at least five days of the past three weeks taking part in activities in Burgh-on-Bain, near Louth.
Parents, community leaders and the children themselves have all praised the camp, with many kids saying it was the best thing they had ever done.
With the help of sponsorship and donations, a summer camp committee organised the £20,000 adventure which included scores of outdoor activities.
From fishing to go-karting, from football to dune buggies and from a rodeo bull show to an assault course, there was plenty for the youngsters to do.
One of them, Sam Wright, 11, of Hainton Avenue, Grimsby, enjoyed it so much he didn't want to come home.
He said: "I had so much fun I didn't want to come home. It was the best experience of my life."

“I went to summer camp on the 1st week it was ace.I liked it best on the assault course when I got drenched. It was that ace i wanted to go back the 2nd week!!! a big thank u to debbie and steve hill also to every1 who helped and put it together aswell.”

“summer camp was the best thing 4 me this summer with out steve or debbie hill this camp wunt of gone on but there it one person who put this fights in to get the money and thats less bonner with out him the camp would not of gone a head a big thank you to the staff who stayed out there for them 3 weeks and kids loved it put there carnt wait till next year GONE BE BIG AND BETTER!!!!!!! thank you”

“SUMMER CAMP WAS ACE
i met lots of new friends camp
we got to do loads of fun things at camp .my best thing at camp was when we sat round the camp fire and we got showed how to skin a rabbit . it was a brilliant week thanks to debbie ,steve and all the people who helpeld do camp”
