GTF Seas reinforced their position just behind Division One leaders Humberston when they beat Empire United 4-2.

Their goalscorers were Bobby Lewsam, Danny Trott, Danny Grant and Ryan Rice.

Seas set off like a house on fire and were soon 2-0 up.

Empire made it 2-1 from the penalty spot before pulling it back to 2-2.

Seas then got the ball down on the ground and played some quality possession football, catching Empire on the break and they ran out clear winners.

Leigh Cook slotted in at centre-half and did an excellent job.

In Division Five, new leaders East Marsh Empire won 5-0 against Sporting Saltire in the only game in this division.

Sean Minkley (2), Mark Hydes, Jason Marshall and David Smith were the marksmen.

In Division Seven, AFC Waltham 2nds narrowly beat IFK Knottkoping (Adam Ellwood 2, Richard Emerson) 4-3.

In the Senior Challenge Cup, Cleethorpes Town had a 2-0 victory away at Grimsby Warriors and go through to meet Inkworks in the semi final.

Inkworks drew 0-0 with Humberston, but went on to win the penalty shoot-out.

In the Junior Challenge Cup, West Marsh Old Boys (Nathan Green, Ian Taylor 2) drew 3-3 with AA Property New Waltham (Darryl Doherty, Martin Nielsen, Keith Playford) – but went on to win the penalty shoot-out.

West Marsh play Clee Motors in the semi-final after their 4-2 victory against Electrical Appliance Grimsby (Gary Jackson, Matthew Osbourne).

Holders Abatis Fire & Security (Simon Hammerton, Lloyd Munson, Ashley Sargent) beat Laceby Acres United (Matthew Hardy) 3-1 and play The Oak Tree (Gary Kirwin, Robert Morrison, Brendon Smyth) who won 3-2 against Grimsby Rovers (Liam Williamson, Aaron Wilkins) in the other semi-final.

In the Memorial Cup, SW Steelers beat Seachill Athletico 4-0 to progress to the next round.

Steelers took the lead when a Kyle Bensley free-kick was blocked, but the rebound fell to Josh Braid, who lashed the ball home.

George Eyole increased Steelers' lead when he converted from close range following a great run and cross from the left by Luke Borrill. Further goals in the second half came from captain Gaz Deakins and substitute Nick Rook.

Other results and goalscorers in this competition included AFC Wybers winning 5-0 away to Abatis Athletic, Immingham Town (Sam Sadler 2, Ben Coultas, Rob Pannell) beating AFC Bradley (Luke Martin) and Clee Community ESL (John Dunks 3, James Bakes, Jack Richardson, Thomas Stiff, Ryan Collins, og) winning 8-1 away to LLS Allstars (Kieron Atkinson).

Police beat Old Lloyds (Josh Tye) 5-1, Bridge (Edward Atkin, Danny Phillips, Michael Shadlock, Alex Shreeve) won 4-3 away to Caistor Rovers, Cleethorpes Utd (Paul Horsefall, Matthew Steer, Caine Wilkins) drew 3-3 with Great Coates (Jamie Stow 2, Simon Tuplin) and then won on penalties, while Cromwell (Nicholas Brown 2, Kyle French 2, Josh Keyes 2, Sean Carlile, Peter Young) beat AFC Waltham (Dan Moore) 8-1.
