George, 64, is thrilled their hard work has been recognised.
He said: "It is absolutely wonderful. We have had awards before but this is our community saying thank you to us, which feels great."
As revealed in the Grimsby Telegraph, the awards were launched late last year by the Cleethorpes South Forward Neighbourhood Forum to honour those who do their bit for Cleethorpes.
George sold his home and his business to live on the Fitties.
He and two assistants orchestrate 24-hour patrols of the site, shared between 50 members of the watch.
The group also do tide watch, have developed a small wildlife garden and have even rescued animals like birds and seals which were in danger. George continued: "The Fitties is an amazing place. It is one of a kind, which is why we all choose to live here and that is why we look after it.
"The patrols take a lot of organising but we can't class it as work because we enjoy it so much."

“Hope they're not"making sure chalet owners are safe" at this time of year - they should all be kipping on relatives' sofas and in B and B's by now!”

“You really are an obnoxious individual. These people giving up their time for the community and all you can do is make detestable comments.
Are you running a vendetta by creeping around at night. There are laws against stalking”

“We also love the Fitties, and my work often means walking our dogs fairly late. Can FORAB explain a parking phenomena; prior to January 1st we were often last off the sand-hills and noticed we were the only car in the car-park. Tonight we were the last dog walkers off the sand-hills and noticed 18 cars parked up? How strange with nobody on the beach or bank there are so many cars parked with no one in them?
Can FORAB do their security checks and trace the registration / address's of these cars? Oh, and not far from the FORAB gate there was copious smoke issuing from a bungalow chimney after dark. Very strange goings on. Perhaps FORAB should report these findings to the NELC.”
