The event, part of the school's curriculum, saw pupils take part in workshops with Tip Of The Iceberg Theatre Group on issues such as internet safety and antisocial behaviour.

"It's really scary to see the reality of careless driving; I will always make sure I wear a seatbelt."

Classmate Andrew Green added: "These theme days have helped me develop personal skills that wouldn't normally be taught, such as team building.

"Many of the talks are inspirational. They have triggered me to start looking at alternative views and ways of doing things."

“If the head teacher is leaving then I guess that they won't need to appoint a replacement as 2 Vice Principals, 1 Associate Principal, 4 Assistant Principals and 2 other members of the Senior Leadership team should be able to manage. (I got that from the website.) Interesting that taking schools out of local authority control has also had the effect of multiplying senior management roles: the private sector way!”
