THE top two teams in Section A met for the second time in eight days and, once again, there was little to choose between them.

This time, Dads & Lads squared off at Nats A with Dave Burton and Steve Austin putting the hosts in front, only to see Pete and Alfie East level things up for Dads & Lads.

Jase and Mathew Lawton made it 2-1 to the visitors, but Ryan Johnstone and Terry Blanchard levelled the scores by winning the next frame.

The Nats went ahead for the second time as Nige Emmerson and Steve Drinkell won the penultimate frame before Ivan Harvey and Brad Burrell made it three apiece with a win in the final frame.

Elsewhere, a 2-0 from Phil Revell and Les Pigg and singles from Ray Revell, Art McDougal, Aide Richardson and Daz Burrows gave Cromwell B a 4-2 home win against West End B.

Zak Robinson and Brad Mowforth won the first frame for Blossom Way A at Standard but the hosts' Adam Boyington, Peter Gibson, John Brocklesby, Dave Rushby, Frank Barber and Paul Abbott collected the rest for a fine 5-1 victory.

Clee Bowls B drew 3-3 with Healing Mens when Janett Newell, Mick Parker, Ralph Dale, Doug Stolworthy, Dave Cox and Mike Barrett shared with Dean Austwick, Dave Leen, Den and Jamie Wallis, Andy Stanley and Bill Childs.
