Town duo Lee Peacock and Kenny Arthur may make returns at the Shay
LEE Peacock and Kenny Arthur could both "play some part" in Grimsby Town's friendly at Halifax tomorrow.
The Mariners head to The Shay for their final match of a hectic pre-season build-up, with skipper Peacock and keeper Arthur hoping to get some match action ahead of the season's curtain-raiser at Crawley next weekend.

DOUBLE HOPE: Town goalkeeper Kenny Arthur, who could be back in action tomorrow. Inset: Lee Peacock, who is also in line for a return in the pre-season friendly at Halifax Town.
Both players sat out Tuesday night's Lincolnshire Senior Cup final at Scunthorpe, but Town manager Neil Woods is optimistic they could return to face the Northern Premier League side.
"We have to be careful with Kenny because it's a strain that he's had due to a severe dead leg. It's an impact injury that developed into a strain really," explained Woods.
"But he's got his gloves on and he's doing some handling, so we're hopeful he can play some part at Halifax.
"He's worked extremely hard with Ben Mortlock and Steve Croudson. We have to be careful because we want him right for Crawley but at the same time he needs to get a few more games under his belt.
"Lee's just been really stiff with his back. He's got a bit of a history of back problems and we don't want to make it into a longer term injury, but we're hopeful that he can play as well."
In terms of the make-up of the rest of the side to take on Neil Aspin's men, Woods, pictured, is keeping his options open.
"We'll have to have a look at the players and see," he said. "On Wednesday the senior boys had their first day off in the week since we came back in June, so that has given them a chance to recover from their exertions on Tuesday. We will pick a team that we think is right for the game and that may be a mixture. It depends on whether certain people are fit or not. That's a decision we'll have to make nearer the time.
"But from what I saw on Wednesday night, if I have to play some of the younger boys that will not worry me at all."
Outlining his squad's progress with little more than a week remaining until the start of the season, he added: "I think if you ask the players they will say they're just about ready.
"They've worked extremely hard and I've been very pleased with their attitude to everything they've done. They're very fit. The fitness tests that we've done with them show a very big improvement from the tests they did before.
"They're ready – there's a few positional, shape and set-piece things we need to work on more, but we've still got eight days to that.
"Obviously, the most disappointing thing is losing people injured, but it's part and parcel of football."

“How about proving these doubters wrong, Tarquers? If you've ever seen a Town game, or ever been to Blundell Park, let's see some specific detail in your posts that proves you're not just a squinty-eyed, friendless saddo from an anonymous town somewhere in the UK wearing down his keyboard. I'm sure you're not - just saying, like,”
