Twist in saucy Cleethorpes postcards saga
Do you remember the large painted saucy postcards which where erected by the Cleethorpes In Bloom team on Alexandra Road in the summer?
Because of the out-cry they were removed, bought and put up in the Odd Balls Crazy Golf gardens.

“In this thread:

porcelainblak has made a tautological slip:
"If apprehended, they should be sterilised to stop them breeding . . ."
'to stop them breeding' is an unnecessary waste of breath or typing because if they had been sterilized they couldn't breed.”

“'justsaying' implies that 'millionaire socialist' is a tautology. Certainly not what I understand a tautology to be. [A Definition, Tautology - a basically unnecessary repeated meaning using different words that have the same meaning.] Now she/he may believe that millionaire and socialist have the same meaning but in fact they are not so defined. There maybe some socialist millionaires or even millionaire socialists but the words do not have the same definition. The posters comment probably says far more about their own cultural/political background than it does their grasp of English Language usage.”

“You know in some places they would be put in a gallery to be admired by the public and as a tourist attraction. This is what can happen when you let a Yorkie take control!”

“Are you surprosed at a Labour Council having double standards? It's something of a tautology. A bit like millionaire socialist!”

“So why do the council allow my bin lorry to have two cartoon buxom ladies on the side with the double entendre "the council says we have to do it twice a week" or something along those lines painted on the side?
Double standards obviously.”

“Hahaha I am laughing out loud at the council, especially with them complaining about postcards, and a company called ODD BALLS. Irony indeed. I hope the postcards stay, they are fun, colourful and belong at the seaside. Is there nothing else to put on the agenda, no terrible extensions, dangerous lean to's or shabby conservatories? Bunch of jokers indeed.”

“'erected' lol - the council are a complete embarrassment to the area. little hitlers trying to justify their expenses...the fact that anyone whatsoever vored for any of them is beyond belief.”

“Yes, but only if he was an expert when it came to erections.”

“Could it be argued that if a Cllr was on the board of the in bloom panel then all this could have been avoided ?
Wasn't advice sought before erecting the panels ?
Now what will be intresting will be the result of the retrospective application
Any bets as to who is going to win .......”

“It's only a bit of fun for goodness sake I think the council are being very CHILDISH over this matter. I really hope Odd Balls gets permission - all this time wasting from the council wasting money too. The council should leave the paintings were they are and get on with more important issues”
