Unemployment rises in North East Lincolnshire
UNEMPLOYMENT in North East Lincolnshire increased again last month, reaching its highest figure since July last year.
A total of 6,634 people claimed Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) in February, up from 6,601 in January.
The figure represents 6.6 per cent of people aged 16-64 and compares unfavourably with the overall figures for Yorkshire and Humber (4.9 per cent) and Great Britain (3.9 per cent).
The unemployment rate for men in North East Lincolnshire was 8.7 per cent, compared to 4.4 per cent for women.

The age group suffering the highest rate of unemployment was the 18-24 bracket, with 12.6 per cent of people in that category claiming JSA.

“You've got a good point there B.H.Harry, but I doubt these devious so and so's would be willing to give an explanation. Not when that would have to include their policy to falsify unemployment figures.
They've even introduced legislation in parliament so they can do this with the backing of law.
Just how many 100's of 1,000's does this keep permanently knocked off the figures?

“I've just scanned the jobs pages,shock horror lots of jobs, why are there so many jobs, all varying in types for all skills. I know you will always have the bone idle tw**s who won't work, but there are lots of jobs, unemployed stop moaning and get one of these jobs.”

“When were the figures calculated? Is this due to the end of seasonal jobs which would have reduced the figures for the Xmas period? Bare statistics don't have a lot of use without an explanation.”
