CLEETHORPES is the destination of Prince William and Kate Middleton, two days after their wedding at Westminster Abbey on April 29th.

The Grimsby Telegraph can exclusively reveal that The Pier will be hosting the party for the royal newlyweds, which will also be attended by the groom’s best-man, his brother Prince Harry.

A delighted Jack Smith, spokesman for the nightclub said: “We’ve got a special event that’s taking place where the Prince and Princess will be attending.”

“We’ll be letting you know at a later date exactly who’s coming from the Royal family.”

It is understood that some top artists will be performing at the venue on the day, but as of yet have not been confirmed, though it’s rumoured that Prince William’s favourite R&B artist, Tinie Tempah, may make an appearance.

It can also be revealed that 1,000 lucky residents of Grimsby and Cleethorpes will receive an invite to the celebration too and get the chance to meet the second in line to the throne and his wife, Princess Catherine, who have never visited the resort before.

Mr Smith said people needn’t worry about applying for their tickets as the names will be randomly chosen from the electoral register using The Royal Aids Flop system, whereby the Queen’s Master of the Corgi chooses the names using the dog’s highly trained smell.

“It’s going to be totally random people from the Cleethorpes and Grimsby area so you’ll wake up in the morning and hopefully have a ticket.”

Mr Smith and Prince William have connections through the release of the new green economical bin called Harliboo, as the Prince is an Ambassador for an environmental charity that has taken interest in the carbon footprint reduction of household waste.

“So is that why you changed your name from the Grimsby EVENING Telegraph - so that you could publish your April Fool jokes before 12 o'clock?
You'll say next that he'll be piloting a Search & Rescue Sea King from RAF Leconfield when they arrive.”

“Perry or Price! Price or Perry! Whats the difference between friends? Both have a similar lack of any talent. What is important is the Royal visit. There is some talk about Meggies being renamed ,"The Royal Resort". Of course the coat of arms will be changed to the Royal Cypher.I hope all the fine citizens of the "Royal Resort" remember to wear their best on this tumultous day.”
