Vehicle stuck in Cleethorpes beach – was it yours?
A VEHICLE has been rescued from Cleethorpes’ beach after it was submerged in the sea for around three hours.
The male driver of a 4x4 went to launch his fishing boat in the sea this morning when his vehicle got stuck in the sand.

A submerged vehicle was rescued from Cleethorpes beach after being in the sea for around three hours.
With the high tide in at 9.30am, he had no choice but to leave it and return to shore for help.
Cleethorpes RNLI were called at around 12.30pm to help retrieve the car once the tide was out.
Choose from Beef, Lamb or Chicken. Add extra meat, Yorkshire Pudding and roast potatoes for £2.50.

Jack Barlow, operations manager, said: “Two members of staff used the launch tractor to tow the 4x4 back to shore. It is now left on promenade for the driver to deal with.
“The man’s fishing boat is safe in Grimsby’s marina.
“No lives were put a risk by the incident but the vehicle is ruined.”

“Did you ever watch the Top Gear programme where a Toyota Hilux 4x4 was slowly wrecked? Even after it had been washed out to sea it still started and ran.If its a Toyota it could still be a runner and could be restored by a decent mechanic.Ditto for a Nissan.If its a Landrover throw it away!”
