Former Grimsby Town boss Brian Laws takes over at Scunthorpe United
FORMER Grimsby Town boss Brian Laws has returned to Scunthorpe United to replace Alan Knill – who was sacked by the Iron yesterday.
Laws - seen in the video taking training today in Scunthorpe - is back in the Glanford Park hot seat with the club sitting third-bottom of League One with only ten points.
Knill was sacked after presiding over a desperate run of results that has seen the Iron lose five of their last seven matches.
Laws, pictured, started his managerial career at Blundell Park having joined Town as player-manager in 1994 to replace Alan Buckley.

After a successful start, his time with the Mariners turned sour when he infamously clashed with Ivano Bonetti after a 3-2 defeat at Luton Town in February 1996.
After leaving Cleethorpes in 1996, he had a short playing spell at Darlington before taking over at Scunthorpe.
He went on to lead them to promotion twice during nearly a decade with the club.
The 51-year-old had most recently been employed as director of football at League of Ireland side Shamrock Rovers.
