“There is a problem with the "yield" lines at the Hewetts round-a-bout, there are two sets one set for pedestrians and another set for cars about 3m apart, no one seems to know how they work, many times I take that walk a car in one lane gives way to pedestrians but the other lane doesn't, it needs sorting out now, the same problem occurs at Love lane corner”

“I believe the accident happened on Taylors Ave? At the first island crossing. I prayed this lady would make a full recovery, and am very sad this is not the case. Sympathy to all involved, including the driver of the car :-(”

“Message to NELC Highways Department. Get rid of the ridiculous white lines you have painted at this roundabout, Love Lane Corner and Toll Bar Roundabout! We obviously don't know the full circustances of this tragedy yet, but the amount of times I have seen pedestrians and cyclists assuming that these misleading lines give them the right of way to cross the road is unbelieveable. These lines hold no part in the Highway Code and should be either replaced with proper crossings or removed immediately.

My sincere condolences go the family of a lovely lady, who we will sadly miss. God bless you xx”
