WAXWINGS IN GRIMSBY
On route to South Thoresby to do my usual otter tracking on my day off from work, i happened upon this flock of Waxwings.
Not put out by the noise of the cars on Cambridge road, these winter visitors seemed perfectly happy feeding on the fruit of a nearby Hawthorne tree.

This winter has seen a few of these colourful starling sized birds arriving from Scandinavia and hopefully they will grace our coastal areas until March.
