Waltham star urges Lincs riders to match top Brits
WALTHAM rider Beth Dickson hopes North Lincolnshire will give a good account of themselves at the British Riding Club Championships in October.
Dickson, alongside mentor Irene Pettigrew, will represent Area 16 at the 'Dressage To Music' event at Aintree International Equestrian Centre, Liverpool.

The pair qualified for the competition after winning this month's Lincolnshire qualifier at Sheepgate Equestrian Boston – Pettigrew also triumphed in the singles event.
However, despite finishing second in Liverpool last year, Dickson believes it will be a much more difficult task this time around.

She said: "It is an open age competition featuring riders from all over the country so the standard will be very high.
"We finished second last year so we are hoping to go there and maybe do the same this year.
"I have been working with Irene since I was 14.
"She puts together everything we do and is always thinking about different ideas that will help us stand out against the others.
"Without her I wouldn't have been to these competitions."
As in Boston, Dickson will ride 'Cool As Ice' for the Aintree showpiece while Pettigrew, from Ashby-cum-Fenby, will compete on 'Jelke fan Breuningswyck'.
Aside from their music pairs quest, the North Lincolnshire duo could feature alongside two other NLRC members in the Quadrille – a four person dressage event.
Dickson added: "If we decide to go through with the Quadrille we will have to train every week until October.
"But, if not we are planning to have a bit of a break from the doubles before restarting training at the end of July."
