THE Wellow Pub in Cleethorpes reopens tomorrow following a six-figure refurbishment.

As reported, the Kings Road venue has been completely revamped

after becoming part of  the Hungry Horse pub chain.

Manager John Carter is “over the moon” with the transformation.

He said: “It’s a total change. It’s a lot more welcoming and will create a very family friendly atmosphere.”

The layout of the pub has been radically altered with the ground floor, which was previously split into two rooms, being opened up into one large bar and dining area.

It comes with a new menu, bright modern decor and seating cubicles with their own television screens.

The toilets have been moved from the entrance area to the first floor, where a pool table will also be installed.

The 10 hotel rooms have also been completely refurbished and the outdoor play equipment will be redecorated.

Mr Carter is confident the revamp will attract more customers into the

venue and around 20 extra staff have already been taken on.

He said: “I’m very excited about the opening. I think old and new customers will be very impressed by the transformation.”
