Wickets tumble in crushing Caistor victory
CAISTOR Town achieved a crushing nine-wicket home victory against Messingham in the Lincolnshire County Cricket League Premier League.
The Brigg Road club shot out the opposition for just 64 runs.
Batsmen faired better at Chichester Road, but mid-table Cleethorpes 2nds lost their game against Cherry Willingham by 56 runs.
Barton Town's hopes of lifting the championship took a jolt when they posted 210 at Scunthorpe Town only to lose to their fellow title-chasers.

Alford – previous leaders this season – had to suffer the frustration of going without a game, and therefore collecting only five points, when their scheduled home fixture with lowly Alkborough fell victim to a flooded ground.
Performance of the day in division one came from Holton-le-Clay, who beat high-flying Scothern by two wickets at Tetney Lane.
Cleethorpes 3rds' troubles continued with a 56-run reverse at Market Rasen.
Division two title-chasers Keelby conceded 243 runs on their visit to Messingham 2nds and slipped to defeat as a result.
Caistor 2nds were beaten in Lincoln by Hartsholme 2nds, who set a target of 223 that proved beyond the visitors.
Grimsby Town 2nds lost by 35 runs when hosting Owmby at Augusta Street.
Top performers in division three were Grimsby-based team Laportes, who won by 39 runs at leaders Hibaldstow.
Barton Town 2nds lost narrowly – by a single wicket – when entertaining Haxey 2nds at Marsh Lane.
Division four saw Saturday's lowest team score, just 34, made by Immingham Blossom Way at home to Market Rasen 2nds, who had earlier topped 200.
Caistor 3rds were also heavily beaten – by nine wickets – away to Morton, in Gainsborough.
