Witnesses sought following crash on St Peter's Avenue in Cleethorpes

A taxi driver was injured following a crash in Cleethorpes last Friday.

At around 12.15pm, the 49-year-old Grimsby man was driving his blue Ford Mondeo taxi on St Peter’s Avenue near the junction with Bentley Street when it was involved in a collision with a black Kia Cee’d which was being driven by a woman from Cleethorpes.

Police are investigating the collision and ask that anyone who witnessed the incident contacts Humberside Police on the non-emergency number 101 referring to log 400 of 16 November.

    “What incredibly bad luck! First the taxi driver is involved in an accident and then, afterwards, he is injured! Surely passers-by would have stopped after the collision and must have witnessed whatever it was that caused his injury.
    Unless, of course, the reporter intended to write that the taxi driver was injured DURING the crash ...........”
