Eddisons property auctions will be in charge of Wonderland's sale, on Thursday, February 21.

Wonderland's guide price is  £425,000 which is half the amount when it first went up for sale back in April 2011.

With Cleethorpes Pier failing to make it's £400,000 reserve price, bids reached £390,000 and hopefully negotiations will now be taking place  between interested parties.

In the scheme of things the Pier is going for a song so who I wonder will be singing out the winning bid for Wonderland?

“North Sea coast = unreliable grotty weather.

We need indoor attractions, lots of them, at affordable prices for families.

If you don't build them, they will not come.”

“Wonderland will sell for the value of the land it sits on and no more, it needs to be ripped down and re-built, huge problem with that as well, why would you build on a plot of land that has derelict buildings between it and the next however 100's of meters the next used plot is?????????
Cleethorpes is a laughing stock that end, not much better the other!”

“If the pier couldn't be sold for what was being asked then there is zero hope of selling Wonderland. It would need well over a million spent on it for repairs and refurbishment. There is not enough tourism (thanks partly to the clowns at N.E.Lincs Council and over-vocal local residents over the years saying no to many business propositions) to justify anybody investing such huge amounts of cash into what is nothing more now than an overlarge leaky cowshed.

Wonderland's fate is inevitable - it will end up being demolished to make way for yet another car park.. or just sit there rotting away like those toilets nearby - WHY are they still standing, boarded up in total disrepair providing an eyesore? The decline of Cleethorpes' North promenade over the last 3 decades tells it's own story and sadly it's glory days are well and truly gone. There ain't gonna be any miracle that will save it from ever more decline.”

“I disagree peteperkins. The Pier is only ready to open as a night club and anything else would need a complete refurbishment again. To open it as a night club would be crazy these days with the amount of previous owners all not managing to make a go of it.”

“I agree the Pier will be a bargain for anyone, it's newly refurbished and ready to open for business.
Wonderland is a different kettle of fish it's falling down in fact a right dump I wouldn't get you twopence for it!”
