World Cup heartache for Louth cricketer Arran Brindle
THERE was heartache for Arran Brindle's England at the Women's Cricket World Cup this morning.
The Louth all-rounder's two wickets couldn't stop the reigning 50-over champions from slipping to a two-run defeat to Australia.
Brindle and co were chasing a target of 148 in Mumbai, but fell agonisingly short in a nail-biting run chase.
England's next match in the Super Six phase of the tournament is against South Africa on Sunday.
