York tie rearranged
YORK City's league trip to Grimsby Town has been rearranged.
The clash of the play-off rivals was postponed last Saturday due to a frozen pitch at Blundell Park.

“Too many games can be a good thing - especially when you have one of the best squads in the BSP.
I subscribe to the Alan Hansen view - he has always said when he played for Liverpool and they were playing a lot of games and winning most of them, players don't think about being tired.
It's surely what we want and if (for example) we were to play Luton in the FA Trophy Final - having played a money-spinning two-leg semi final - there would be a crowd of 50-60,000 at Wembley.
That would mean the best part of £500,000K, I would have thought.
Playing alot of games in a short space of time is the inevitable consequence of being successful and we must all want that after so many barren years.
Bring it on!

“Why would a game between two "small" clubs in this league be a sell-out? we need to be a really "BIG" club in this league to attract decent players!

Definatley a sell-out for this one, "We're the Pride of Lincolnshire" UTM”

“GTFC website says it's kids for a quid next Saturday for the York trophy game.
If Town win that, the two-leg semi is on Saturday March 10 and 17. That would mean the Forest Green and Tamworth home games have to be rescheduled. We would pretty much have games Saturday-Tuesday til the end of the season. Of course, when the team is doing well, the players are buzzing, and I'm sure they would rather play than train. A game on Tuesday night means they get a lie-in that morning.”

“Near full house for this one, or it should be. Also heard today we are interested in Lincoln midfielder Alan Power. Without doubt their best player when they came here and a good acquisition for us”
