A YOUNG entrepreneur has opened a new bar and bistro with the help of her family.

The former Blue Waves Cafe in Cleethorpes has been transformed into Industry F, and the brains behind the industrial-themed venue is 23-year-old Fabienne Reynolds.

After enlisting the help of her father Craig, who built the bar and tables, Fabienne is to host a launch party to sample the Alexandra Road venue's food on Saturday, March 9 from 7pm.

The Wybers Wood resident, who previously owned Fabulicious, a cafe on Grimsby Top Town Market, has also been a chef at many well-known establishments such as Clee House Hotel and The Haborough Hotel.

She said: "I thought it was about time for me to get my own business up and running. I'm really excited about the venture and it is going well so far.

"I wanted to broaden my horizons and I thought Cleethorpes is a great spot for this kind of bar.

"I would describe the décor as a little eccentric with an industry feel. I took the idea from venues in London and Bruges."

It's not only the décor that's quirky – the food is too and the locally sourced produce is presented on boards, similar to the way Jamie Oliver presents his food.

Fabienne, who is head chef at the venue, said: "The way we serve the food is different and we hope people will enjoy the different style of presentation.

"We sell subs, salads and burgers. It's very colourful food.

"We haven't got an alcohol license at the moment, so we are just focusing on food. But for the launch party we will have the license to sell alcohol."

It took four weeks to transform the venue, and the whole family mucked in.

She added: "My dad's a builder and he built everything from scratch, because it was just a shell before.

"The whole family helped out and my cousin Boeu Bark painted a mural."

To start her dream, she took part in eFactor business workshops.

Fabienne added: "Inspired by the workshops, I decided to set up a Facebook page for Industry F and, in a couple of days, we got 200 likes.

"People are coming in purely because the page."

Until the launch party on Saturday, March 9, Industry F is open from 7.30am to 4.30pm. For more information about Industry F Bar and Bistro, call 01472 694116.

“Yes, good luck, nice to see a youngster making the effort to build something instead of expecting everything to be handed to them by the state...! Best wishes, hope it goes really well, I will call in sometime to give it a try, and will call again if its good.....!”
